19 People Heading to Lukla Killed In Airplane Clash

Rescue Team on spot of Sita Airplane crash at 500 m away from Kathmandu International Airport

Sita airplane carrying 19 people crashed just 500 m away from Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu killing all peoples including crew members. The plane was take off for the staging point of Mt Everest trekking and expedition but unfortunately strikes with an eagle and fall down to the Manohora  River in Bhaktapur District.

The crashed plane was carrying the 16 passengers, 2 pilots and 1 airhostress. There was 7 tourist from UK, 5 from China and  capital of Kathmandu to the village of Lukla was carrying 16 passengers — seven from the UK, five from China and 4 from Nepal — in addition to the three-member crew.

According to local people living near the crashed site said the airplane was heading to fall over them however the pilot of the plane managed to turn it towards Manohara Rivers but unfortunately no one survived.

The UK Foreign Office confirmed that 7 British nationals were on the flight whereas China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also confirmed the death of 5 Chinese nationals.
