The average temperature in the main cities like Kathmandu and Pokhara will be around 22-30 degree Celsius. However, this temperature tends to be decreasing as you go up higher. The temperature above 4000m will be moderate, at around 20 degree Celsius. The nights are usually colder but as not as in winter.

The Spring has a minimum chance of raining during. It usually rains during nights making the weather more clear and better.

b)  Gears and Equipment 

Even in April, you may face a wide variety of weather depending upon your hiking trails. Travel Tips

  • Acclimatization day should not be missed.
  • Drink enough water and keep yourself hydrated. Chlorine treated or mineral water is recommended.
  • It is better to avoid non-vegetarian while trekking in the high altitudes. Meats are usually stored for long days, so might not be healthy to eat.
  • While trekking into high altitudes and less-traveled destinations, it is always better to hire a guide.
  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended. Health services in the high altitude areas are not easily accessible, thus, you have to make sure that you have done zero-deductible travel insurance.
  • Usually, the guide is required to trek into the restricted zones such as while doing Upper Mustang and Tsum Valley Trek.
