There are tons of trekking spots for beginners or non-trekker in Nepal from where you can begin your adventure of trekking and then never look back, just go on trekking on higher altitudes, where ever you like.
There are no criteria, no qualification or age for trekking. If you like adventure and love Mother Nature then you are already eligible for trekking.
There are 1913 peaks of over 5500m in Nepal including 8 World’s Highest Peaks i.e. above 8000m; Mt. Everest(8848m), highest of all “The Top of the World”, Mt. Gorepani Poon Hill Trek :
Gorepani Poon Hill Trekking is one of the most famous trekking and one of the best destinations to start your trekking adventure. Gorepani is a small village in Myagdi District; Dhaulagiri Zone that is in the northern-central region of Nepal. The village lies within the Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA) at an elevation of approximately 2874m (9429ft). There are number of guest’s house providing shelter and food to the trekkers who spend the night at Gorepani before trekking to Poon hill which is 3210m above sea level (10531ft). The trekking offers a spectacular view of some of the beautiful snow capped mountains including Mt. Machhapuchhre also famous as The Fish Tail Mountain (6998m), Mt. Annapurna (8091m) and Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m). During the trek you will pass through traditional ethnic village inhabitant by the people of Gurung and Magar community. The most rewarding and the best part of the trekking is the mesmerizing view of sunrise from over the Himalayas. The best season for this trek is during the spring that is march to june as this is the Rhododendron blooming season.

Annapurna Royal Trek :
Annapurna Royal Trek is a very simple ideal holiday trek in Annapurna Region, specially designed for the first time trekkers. This trek is named as Royal Trek since Prince Charles of the Wales walked through this trekking route on his holiday to Nepal. This trekking is highly recommended for those who are uncertain about the physical demands of trekking. This trekking route is towards Syaglung in Tanahu District, Gandaki zone in western region of Nepal. The trek offers a walk to the moderate mountain ranges at an elevation of 1400m with a spectacular view of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna, Mt. Manaslu and Lamtang Himal. Passing through the low altitude, the climate is warmer. You will also have the opportunity to stroll through the rice terraced fields and the villages of the middle hills which is inhabited by the Hindus and Gurung’s as the mid hill tribes.
It is one of the shortest, easiest and popular hikes. Nagarjuna Hill is located on the north-west of Kathmandu valley. It is believed that Manjushree, a divine saint of China, saw the Kathmandu valley from Nagarjuna Hill. There is a cave where it is believed that Manjushree medicated. Nagarjuna Hill is also known as Vidyan Mountain, is a famous Hindu and Buddhist Pilgrimage site. The attraction of this tour is the Nagarjuna Durbar Square, and the beautiful statue of Nagarjuna Buddha on the glorious Jomsom Monastery. On the east of the Monastery there are two rows of Buddhist gods and goddesses. The first row Mahankala is in meditation pose and the third Vasundhara while second row includes White Tara, Padmapani Green Tara, and Vajrapani. One can also have a magnificent view of the Annapurna Himalayan Range, Manaslu Himalayan Range and Langtang Himalayan Range from the top of the hills.
Chisapani Nagarkot Trekking is the best short trek near Kathmandu countryside. It is the best trekking destination for first timers. Walking through the unspoiled forests, up the hill through Shivapuri National Park, situated between the subtropical and temperate climate zones one can enjoy the panoptic panoramic view of snow capped mountain. This Park is rich in flora and fauna with sub tropical hardwood, oak, rhododendron and pine along with many species of mushrooms and a variety of orchids. Dhampus Sarangkot :
One of the most popular treks, Dhampus Sarangkot in the Annapurna Region offers amazing mountain panorama, passing through pleasant villages resided by Gurung people. The trouble-free and tender walk takes you to the altitude of 919m and through the green hill and rice paddy field. Dhampus is a beautiful village profoundly settled by Gurungs which includes an ethic area like Ghandruk. Whereas, Sarangkot lies just above Pokhara city and it can be seen from Lake Side in Pokhara as well as from the hotel where you stay. The major highlights of the Dhampus Sarangkot trek are exploration of villages, witnessing panoramic scenes of the elevated Himalayan peaks- Lamjung Himalayan range, Mt. Machhapuchhre, Himchuli, Mt. Nagarkot-Dhulikhel-Namobuddha Hiking is an unforgettable trek with its natural and cultural rich sites. Nagarkot is situated at 30 km east of Kathmandu and is a popular weekend gate to those visitors who wish to have Himalayan Scenery and rural serenity. Nagarkot is the best place to enjoy nature bordered by the beautiful terraced hillsides and picturesque farm house. From the Nagarkot one can see the panoramic views of world’s tallest mountains; Mt. Everest (8,848m.), Mt. Lhotse (8,516m.), Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m.), Mt. Makalu (8,463m.) along with many other summits. The mountains look especially elegant during sunset and sunrise. From Nagarkot you can hike few hours towards the forest and see different species of birds and you can also reach Changu Narayan Temple.
Dhulikhel is an old Newari village where you can see the traditional Newari bare-brick houses, carved wooden windows, sloping title roofs, pagoda temples and sacred statues of Gods and Goddess. The most important sites to visit Dhulikhel are Narayan and Harisiddhi temples which are made by the plentiful wood carvings and other attraction of the place is Gokhureswar Mahadev temple. From Dhulikhel also you can see wonderful views of snow-capped mountain. Namo-Buddha is one of the holy sites for the Buddhist. Namo-Buddha is a pleasing pilgrimage site where the Lord Buddha in preceding embodiment is believed that to have offered his own body to the hungry tigers. It takes 3 hours from Dhulikhel to reach Namo-Buddha. Chepang Hill is situated between Mugling and Krishna Bhir in Dhading district which is 80 km from Kathmandu. The trek starts from Mugling and ends in Chitwan Shaktikhor. The altitude of this region is between 4,000 ft. to 6,500 ft. above sea level. The weather is cool and pleasant during the summer and a freezing during winter. Chepangs are one of the remote ancestral groups of Nepal who reside on the Chepang Hills. The Chepang has unique culture, and speak their own distinct language, living a nomadic life; they survive primarily by hunting, fishing and traditional farming near jungles.
