    Davis fall

An interesting aspect of the falls is that the water disappears in a tunnel which is approximately 500 feet long and runs 100 feet below ground level .In 1961, a Swiss tourist who was swimming in the Fewa Lake was swept away in an unexpected current due to the overflow in a dam. His wife, who was nearby, could not save him, and his body was never recovered. The fall was named after him as “Davis Falls” In Nepali, it is called Patale Chhango, which means “Underworld Waterfall”.

    Gupteshwor Mahadev Gufa

Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave was not discovered until 1992 but is believed to have formed 500 years ago. When the group of local people found the cave they also found sketch of Shiva Lingas; symbols of Lord Shiva and they also found out that the cave was one of the openings of the Patale Chhango, Davi’s fall. Later a temple inside the cave dedicated to Lord Shiva was built.

    Bat Cave

Bat Cave, in Nepali language, it is also called Chamero Gufa as Chamero means Bat and Gufa means Cave. It is named Bat Cave as bats habitats the cave’s wall and the ceilings.

    Mahendra Gufa

The cave is named after the name of the Late king Mahendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev. The cave itself is amazing and we can see the various natural shapes and images of the various Hindu god and goddess on the stone made of the lime. The area is surrounded by the community forest at the hillside and at the end of road there flows the small river called the Kali Khola.
