Bardia National Park is the largest and most undisturbed wilderness area in Nepal’s Terai region. It is located in the eastern bank of Karnali River in Bardia district. Initially, it was established to protect representative ecosystems and conserve tiger and its prey species. Nowadays, it is also the home of 53 mammals. We could find Wild Rhinoceros, Elephant, Royal Bengal tiger, Swamp Deer, and Gangetic Dolphin and more than 400 species of Birds are found here.
Bardia National Park is inhabitant of many endangered animals which includes tiger, wild elephant, blackbuck, gharial crocodiles, gangetic dolphin and birds like Bengal florican, Sarus Crane, Silver-eared mesia and many others. It is only the place in Nepal where you can able to see the freshwater dolphins and blackbuck antelopes.
